MID-CENTURY MARVEL

Very exciting news. A new shoot location. One that has never been shot before, one that is exclusive to Devilbliss Studios!

I’m calling it Mid-Century Marvel because the home itself is an amazing example of Mid-Century architecture. Built in 1957 I believe it is a larger home for the period as it was built for an eye doctor in central Pennsylvania. As a matter of fact he co-invented the soft contact lens. This very home had a guest apartment and clinic area where visiting celebrities and dignitaries would visit, stay and seek the owners renowned expertise in the field. Foreign heads of state would stay there, domestic titans of industry, even Bill Cosby, though these days that fact is not what it once was.

Regardless. It’s a showpiece and we have it for a day.

The photos I have here do not do this justice but I think you will get the idea. Spots are very limited. As with all location sessions there are no options for self-styling options and wardrobe can only be arranged with prior planning for you specifically.

The session is on the deposit form now. Click here to book your spot. When you do, indicate in the comments if you want your session to be Style and Shoot (where you pay less and order edits later) or All Inclusive where you get an edit package at a discount.  Repeat clients get a $25 discount on all sessions over $250 which would not apply for Style and Shoot but would for All Inclusive. We can also no longer transfer full deposits from any location settings to other shoots due to cancellations. The spots are limited and we can not make up for them at the last minute.

And now, the photos!bann0019
You enter through these monster doors. Imagine yourself in a gown in front of it!

Who wouldn’t look smashing standing or kneeling in front of this TO DIE FOR liquor cabinet?

The library… first an amazing Eames chair reproduction, Hellooooo Mad Men. Next lets talk about that carpeting.bann0027 bann0022

This fireplace is one of those that faces into the living room and the library… it’s much more impressive in person and will be when I get my gear in place.

TRAVEL THE WORLD, in the privacy of your own home. This bedroom is covered in vintage (they weren’t when they were put up ironically) travel posters.  Not shown is the master bathroom which I hope we can access as well.

As this is a couples home and we are their guests attire for the session must remain tasteful and restricted in certain areas.

This will sell out, get your deposit in soon!
